You get what you pay for................... Rating: 4/ 5 This product was exactly what was advertised. Because we live in a rural area with many power outages, I wanted to have a land line to offset our cordless phones. This set was bascic, but seems to fill the needs it was purchased for. JB Not what I thought I was getting Rating: 1/ 5 This product is advertised with an answering system included. However, it does not come with one. I'm still waiting for Amazon.com to rectify this matter after 3 weeks. Also, no one seems to be able to hear me on the corded telephone. So, each time I answer the phone from my office I have to tell the caller to hold on while I retrieve the cordless phone from the other room. Good grief! Note that this model doesn't include an answering machine. Rating: 3/ 5 Don't confuse this "look-alike" model 28861FE2 with the GE/Thomson model 28871FE3, which is likewise available via Amazon. Although the latter model does include a built-in digital answerer component, this model 28861FE2 does not.
